January 25 – eFax.com Wireless Services Provides Internet-Enabled Phone Users Remote Printing Capability of Faxes, Emails and Attachments

To make it convenient for the travelling business executives to receive any fax, eFax.com™ and Phone.com Inc. have co-developed eFax® Wireless Services.  This latest technology will provide users of WAP-enabled phones with full Internet fax connectivity, including notification of received faxes and the capability to forward all faxes, emails or email attachments.  In addition, subscribers can access an activity log to track and forward faxes to email addresses and fax numbers via WAP-enabled phones or PC browsers.

This technology is perfect for the travelling professional who needs to present important documents at a customer site or hotel, by simply forwarding the documents to the nearest fax machine,” said Director of Marketing of Phone.com.

MobileInfo Advisory and Comments: We wonder if the busy traveler needs to print faxes on the plane or at other mobile locations. However, in the hotel, it is needed. Should we not use a notebook on  a wireless LAN connected to the Internet for that purpose. A niche requirement indeed!
