2000 - 18 (June 2000) INVESTMENTS, AGREEMENTS AND ACQUISITIONS Microcell Connexions and Ernst & Young Trial Next-Generation Wireless Office Systems in Canada Microcell Connexions and Ernst & Young, a professional service organization, have agreed to launch a deployment and trial of Microcell Wireless Office solution. The Microcell Wireless Office Solution is a next generation service that enables enterprises to incorporate GSM equipment into its existing IP-based LAN. Microcell Wireless Office will enable Ernst & Young to seamlessly integrate its existing telephone system to take advantage of four-digital dialing and access to the company’s private voice network. In addition, Microcell’ s system will provide seamless roaming with GSM handsets between the in-office system, the Microcell Connexions GSM network, and the GSM networks located throughout the world. The two companies will be working together to deploy the wireless system on a trial basis in Ernst& Young’s Montreal offices, which houses 800 people. The trial will commence in May and will last approximately three months.
