2000 - 18 (June 2000) PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS OpenSales Unveils WAP-Enabled, Open Source E-Commerce Applications OpenSales, Inc., recently released an e-commerce software suite to support WAP enabled devices such as electronic organizers and cellular telephones. Comprised of the OpenSales AllCommerce™ platform and the OpenSales Retailer™ application, the software is designed to customize online pricing, inventory and ordering information, while offering multiple language and currency support. It is an online solution that consists of six modules for e-commerce capabilities:
Both OpenSales AllCommerce and OpenSales Retailer support the
Linux, UNIX, and Windows NT server platforms. OpenSales’ software bypasses application servers, relying on database servers and Web servers. Dynamic information is stored on the database server while static elements of pages are pre-generated and stored on each frontline Web server. Web servers can be added or removed as needed without blocking access to information on the site.
