PumaTech Introduces Browse-it™ Software for Palms

PumaTech, Inc. launched its Browse-it software, which delivers Web rendering/browsing capabilities for Palm™ handhelds.

The software allows Palm users:

  • To view any Web content, regardless of its programming language, online utilizing a wireless or wireline modem.
  • To take SnapShots of offline viewing when wireless or wireline access is unavailable.
  • To experience the look and feel of desktop browsers offering such features as bookmarks, tacking browser history, support cookies, standard graphic formats and encryption for security.

Browse-it is one component of PumaTech Mobile Application Platform (MAP) – a common server platform on which the company is building new mobile solutions:

MAP is designed for:

  • Maximum scalability and performance.
  • Synchronization and change-detection/notification capabilities.

Browse-it technology allows Palm devices to make the necessary transformation on Web data before delivering the content to the device –- no re-authoring of content is required.

For corporate Palm users, Browse-it will offer them access to any Web-based content, and will be empower to act upon any information immediately from anywhere.
