2000 - 21 (June 2000) PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS BC Gas Selects Utility Partners’ Workforce Automation Solution To improve efficiencies in its customer service, B.C. Gas Inc. has selected Utility Partners’ MobileUP™ Field Workforce automation solution as part of its Integrated Resource Management project. Utility Partners’ MobileUP system comprises of several functions
The system’s scheduling and dispatching modules allow dispatchers to reallocate available qualified resources immediately to field situations. Utility Partners will be rolling out its standard MobileUP version 5.4 produced in October and intends an upgrade to Release 6 in the first quarter of 2001. Utility Partners will arrange for Peace Software’s Energy System to be implemented at B.C. Gas in tandem with its MobileUP system. Energy System offers Web support, a Browser User Interface, integrated e-commerce functions including acquisition, enrollment, customer information, billing forecasting, and settlement and credit/collections. B.C. Gas will use Energy for customer care, customer billing, and call center workflow management for 250,000 customers.
