2000 - 22 (July 2000) PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS Sierra Wireless, HP to Offer Wireless WAN Solution Sierra Wireless Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Company have partnered to deliver a wireless wide area network solution for the mobile workforce. The two companies will offer a complete wireless bundle that enables mobile workers to access the Internet, intranet, corporate emails or financial information. As AirCard 300 is a wireless wide area network interface card (NIC), there will be no need to dial-up. When a user turns on their notebook, it will automatically register to the wireless network and stay connected in "always on" mode for access to Internet, intranet, corporate emails, databases, and stock information.
