SyncML Founders Demonstrate the First SyncML Implementation of Remote Data Synchronization

Following on the early release of its Specification and Reference Toolkit in May, Supporters gathered at the recent SyncML Supporters Summit for a hands-on presentation and discussions of the specifications of SyncML technology. Supporters gained an understanding of the following:

  • SyncML Representation Protocol
  • Synchronization Protocol
  • Binding
  • Transport
  • Reference Toolkit

For those present, the knowledge acquired will enable them to further advance development of SyncML compliant products and services, with the intention of being commercially available as early as Q1, 2001.

These demonstrations of the SyncML protocol truly establish SyncML as the solid foundation for the advancement and proliferation of mobile devices," remarked Douglas Heintzman, SyncML Chairman.
