2000 - 23 (July 2000) PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS Cable & Wireless Optus Selects MDSI’s Advantex to Manage 3,000 mobile Workers Cable Wireless Optus (CWO), Australia’s second largest telco, has selected MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. for its Advantex™r7 wireless workforce management software. The $8.5M contract covers software licenses, installation, and support and maintenance. CWO will deploy Advantex nationwide over an area covering 7.7 million square km and multiple time zones. For CWO’s 2,000 field technicians and 1,000 other mobile workers, MDSI’s solution will enable them to access their corporate intranet and other enterprise applications via WAP phones, PDAs, and laptops while on the road.
