interWAVE Acquires Microcellular Systems to Capitalize on Wireless Enterprise

Following its recent purchase of assets from 3C Limited of Hong Kong, interWAVE® Communications International, Ltd. acquired 100 per cent of outstanding shares in Microcellular Systems.

The acquisition will support interWAVE’s strategic position to capitalize on the growth of the wireless enterprise and wireless Internet. The company will strengthen its global team with expertise to plan and deploy wireless corporate networks and the development of applications.

In addition, interWAVE gained 20 percent equity in Propylan, Ltd., delivers WAP software to the wireless corporate environment. Proplyan has recently developed an infrastructure platform enabling direct wireless access to corporate intranets. InterWAVE plans to leverage Propylan’s expertise to expedite its corporate strategy.
