PUMATECH to Acquire Dry Creek Software

PUMATECH, Inc. will acquire Dry Creek Software, a developer of software solutions that allow for access of data across mobile devices, corporate servers, and Web applications, for approximately $6 million, in cash and stocks.

Dry Creek’s expertise will become the core of PUMATECH’s new Professional Service Organization, that will deliver customized turnkey solutions based on its MAP (Mobile Application Platform) infrastructure for wireless carriers, ISPs, Web portals, and enterprises. MAP is PUMATECH’s common server platform on which it is building its new mobile and wireless solutions. MAP is designed for maximum scalability and performance and comprises of the following capabilities:

  • Synchronization via its Sync-it™ software
  • Change-detection/notification through the company’s Mind-it™ software
  • Web-browsing/rending via its Browse-it™ software

According to PUMATECH, its Professional Service Organization will also provide software consulting, integration, and hosting services, which will allow for more customized end-to-end deployments.
