Ricochet Unleashed 128 kbps High-Speed Wireless Internet

Following its recent launch of its new Ricochet service in San Diego, Metricom, Inc. announced availability of its high-speed wireless Internet technology in Atlanta. Ricochet combines high-speed access, with speeds of up to 128 kbps, with wireless mobility thus enabling mobile workers to access the Internet from anywhere within coverage areas.

This high-performance system allows mobile professionals to perform the following functions:

View and download full Web content
Send and receive e-mail with attachments
Link to corporate intranets via VPNs
Use applications, information and services found on their PC

High-speed Ricochet is currently under construction in 19 additional major markets across the US and efforts are underway in an additional 25 markets.
