MUNICH, Germany, and NEW YORK, New York - August 21, 2000 - Siemens Business Services (SBS), one of the world’s leading providers of end-to-end e-business solutions, and Mobilocity, Inc., a leading builder of mobile Internet businesses, today announced that they have entered into a preferred partnership in the mobile business market segment.  As part of the relationship, SBS Ventures is making an undisclosed strategic investment in Mobilocity.

The SBS and Mobilocity partnership will help their clients to understand the m-business opportunity and implement wireless services and applications.  Specific services that the partnership will provide include strategic consulting, systems integration, ERP interfacing, WAP application development, hosting, systems outsourcing, and call center, network and WAP gateway operating.

“We wanted a strong, dynamic partner with whom we could rapidly grow our booming international m-business project base,” said Paul Gambaccini, Director Mobile Banking at SBS.  “Mobilocity’s leading-edge mobile strategies combined with its world-class management team made the company our first-choice partner.”

SBS and Mobilocity will work in tandem on joint business development and marketing activities, sharing of project responsibilities, training, research and development, and customer support. The portfolio of m-business services will be made available to the clients of each company immediately.  In addition to providing the services to existing customers, SBS and Mobilocity are initiating a strong push into a variety of industry verticals, including financial services and travel.

“Our partnership with SBS extends the Mobilocity strategy to a large base of new clients worldwide,” said Omar Javaid, Chief Executive Officer of Mobilocity. “By combining our resources, we are poised to bring the most innovative collection of wireless services to the global market.”
