Mobileinfo Comments and Advisory: While we welcome WAP gateway competition, we also want to state that WAP gateway is an important component in a mobile computing infrastructure. Evaluate WAP gateways very carefully - stay with mainstream vendors with staying powers or enterprising but well-financed startups with richer functionality. Stay away from vendor-specific application programming interfaces (APIs). Cost of WAP gateway itself is relatively small in terms of the cost of the total solution.
