MobileLogic and Sierra Wireless Provide Enterprise Customers "Always On" Wireless Connectivity

MobileLogic, Inc. has announced that it is offering its enterprise customers secure wireless connectivity to transaction-based LAN applications through an agreement with Sierra Wireless, Inc. MobileLogic will package and co-brand its Mobile Communications Manager software with the Sierra Wireless AirCard® 300, a WAN PC Card, to provide mobile workers with an "always on" connection to the corporate network.

The MobileLogic/Sierra Wireless Solution:

  • The Sierra Wireless AirCard 300 eliminates the hassles of mobile configuration.
  • The Type II wireless PC Card is also a wireless WAN interface card for notebooks using Windows 95, 98, 2000, PocketPC, and NT.
  • The combination of the network interface and MobileLogic’s Virtual Private Network technology will enable a notebook, every time it is turned on, to automatically register on the wireless network and stay connected in "always on" mode for access to the mission –critical applications.
