2000 - 29 (August 2000) PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS Transvirtual Technologies Delivers PocketLinux to Mobile Application Developers At the LinuxWorld Expo, Transvirtual Technologies, Inc. announced the release of its PocketLinux Framework, a single, Open Source application development environment for all mobile computing devices. PocketLinux integrates Kaffe, a cross-platform development environment, with embedded Linux. PocketLinux will not only allow developers to build mobile applications rapidly and deploy them across multiple platforms but also allow users to access any application and data on any PDA or other handheld platform. Users can create PINs that give them the information they want, when, where, and how they want it. Both developers and users can also "theme" PDAs running PocketLinux applications, changing the look and feel of each application to fit specific requirements.
