PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS

AirFlash Arms Mobile Carriers and Portals with New Location-Intelligent Wireless Services

Mobile carriers and portals can create wireless services and applications that can be incorporated into their existing infrastructure with AirFlash, Inc.’s fully integrated location-relevant content, community, and m-commerce platform -- AirFlash Wireless Services. The company recently announced that AirFlash Wireless Services will be made available in the U.S.

AirFlash Wireless Services combine with AirFlash’s patent-pending SmartZone platform to provide customers with a user-friendly interface and a complete package of content and services, even from disparate sources, that seamlessly adapt to the screen of mobile phones.

SmartZone Technology Platform:

  • Described, by the company, as an accurate, relevant, and scalable mobile services platform.
  • Comprised of technologies that provide mobile carriers and portals a continuous interface solution set, SmartZone facilities moving users through one query, such as accessing content, to sharing this information with an individual, group or community, and then conducting a financial transaction.

AirFlash Packaged Services:

  • m-Content Services – A set of location-based content services, such as search functions for telephone directories, events, emergency services, flight status, and public transit.
  • m-Community Services – The m-Note application allows users to easily write, edit, or save content to their mobile notepad. By specifying private or public permission, users can receive public m-Notes as well as send personal information stored in m-Notes via e-mail or SMS.
  • m-Commerce Services – AirFlash m-Wallet and commerce applications allow users to purchase items such as books, music, and videos from their mobile phones.

The price structure is based on SmartZone platform licensing and usage-based individual services.

Mobileinfo Comments and Advisory: We find AirFlash's approach to location-sensitive services superior to many others. Relevant content and applications of interest delivered efficiently and accurately to younger and socially-mobile generation will accelerate the adoption of this technology in its first phase. Sharing of information among a close group is very useful.  We think that AirFlash is on the right track. One piece of advice to carriers and portals - make initial pricing attractive so that subscribers get hooked to the bait. Let the payback periods for your investment be realistic.
