InfoWave Releases New Version of its
Wireless Business Engine
InfoWave Software, Inc. has released a new
version of its Wireless Business Engine. InfoWave's Wireless Business
Engine provides fast wireless access to Web-based applications, the
Internet, corporate intranets, and e-mail via wireless devices.
New Features
The new release of Wireless Business Engine has a number of new features
for enhanced performance, usability, and enterprise scalability, including
- GSM and CDMA
Support – The new release allows standard digital wireless
handsets to be used as wireless modems by InfoWave.
Benefits:
- No new hardware is required
- A better coverage footprint
- The capability for international roaming
- Dial-up Support –
This features enables mobile workers outside
of wireless coverage to still gain access to InfoWave connectivity via a
standard phone line.
- Multi-site Connectivity –
For enterprises with many regional or
international offices or with complex Microsoft Exchange architectures,
this feature will provide the scalability required.
- Three Modules --
InfoWave for Exchange™ and InfoWave for the Net™
are two modules built on top of Wireless Business Engine. The third
module, FirstHand™, provides wireless access to Microsoft Exchange®
from WAP-enabled devices.
- New Price Structure –
The pricing structure is now based on per
seat pricing and is designed to encourage corporations to adopt the
complete suite of InfoWave products.
