MC² Creates Public Services Division to Develop Law Enforcement & Emergency Medical Apps

Mobile Commerce and Computing (MC²), a wireless ASP, announced the creation of its in-house public safety division to oversee the development and marketing of its new suite of law enforcement and emergency medical wireless software applications.

TrafficStop
The first in MC²’s public safety suite is TrafficStop, an application that allows traffic officers to collect traffic stop data, including race, gender, and age of motorists, using a handheld computer. The data can be transferred to a back-office database where it can be analyzed and incorporated into reports.

CrimeScene
CrimeScene allows officers to input information while at the crime scene into handheld devices, by tapping the appropriate boxes and filling in the relevant data. CrimeScene can interface with other MC²applications, such as, ArrestTrack, IncidentTrack, EvidenceTrack, and SiftSummary, to incorporate arrests, incident reports, and evidence data into crime scene reports.

The company is also creating a series of applications designed for emergency medical personnel. For example, an application that wirelessly stores and sends complex patient information, including x-rays and MRI scans. MC² plans on developing more than a dozen applications to law enforcement and emergency medical agencies.
