Since its formation in February 2000, the SyncML Initiative has generated the support of over 350 companies. Recently, the Initiative released the first SyncML specification. Both can be found in the Supporters section at www.syncml.org.

Supporters will now have the opportunity to review and provide feedback to the specification standards prior to the public release in the fourth quarter of 2000. The updated Toolkit includes the following information:

  • A full description of the XML based SyncML format
  • Messaging using the Linux operating system (will be available in Q4 2000)

The technology will be demonstrated at the upcoming SyncML Supporters Summit being held in Dublin on September 29, 2000.
