Unimobile.com Enables WAP Devices to Use Two-Way Global Text Messaging

Unimobile.com has released WAP support for its two-global text messaging and information access. WAP users can now send and receive text messages globally to and from mobile users of WAP devices, call phones, pagers, Palm™, and other handheld devices as well as desktop browser users.

In addition the company released Unimobile 3.0, of which Unimobile WAP is a part of, with mobile capabilities for mobile communications, device configuration and control, and content.

Unimobile.com WAP:

  • Ability to send messages to any mobile device anywhere in the world, from cell phones to PDAs, without being a registered Unimobile user
  • Supports all versions of commercially released HDML and WML browsers
  • Access to all personal Internet services, Web mail, and POP mail
  • Access to complete calendaring and alert system
  • Enhanced firewall support
  • Supports mobile protocols, including GSM, PCS, CDMA, and TDMA
  • Interpolates with i-mode
  • Interconnects with other messaging platforms and wireless Internet users such as ICQ and MSN Messenger

Future versions of Unimobile WAP will include support for adding mobile devices and mobile device settings such as do not disturb and active device status.
