Melard Technologies Partners with VisionAIR to Deliver Solutions to Public Safety Market

In a strategic move to target public safety and field service organizations worldwide, Melard Technologies Inc. has entered into an agreement with the mobile data application provider VisionAIR. The Melard and VisionAIR will combine their areas of expertise, ruggedized mobile computing devices and field data applications, respectively, to offer the remote worker the tools to complete mission critical task efficiently.

Terms of the Agreement:

  • Both companies will market and deploy Melard’s suite of ruggedized and wireless notebooks, subnotebooks and handhelds: Enduro LE, SCOUT2, and SIDEARM.
  • VisionAIR's wireless data applications, including dispatching, mapping, communications and reporting, will run on Melards’s ruggedized devices.
  • VisionAIR will provide a gateway service to dispatch critical information to Melard’s products, allowing field workers to conduct on-site testing, set-up and diagnostic procedures.

We will customize our service to existing and prospective customers in such vertical markets as maintenance/repair groups, law enforcement personnel, fire departments, and emergency medical teams.

Mobileinfo Comments and Advisory: Public Safety is a huge market for mobile applications. Melard has good understanding of  this market and law enforcement workers' needs.  It needed application suite to round out the offering.  This does it.
