Metavante Teams with w-Technologies To Extend E-Banking Solutions to Wireless Devices

In an effort to provide financial institutions with the broadest spectrum of channels, from Internet to Windows-based applications to wireless devices, Metavante Corporation has entered into an agreement with w-Technologies to market its wireless banking system, w-Bank™.

Metavante will incorporate its Internet-based Business and Consumer Banking Solutions with w-Bank to enable banks to offer their e-banking customers wireless access to their accounts. From mobile handheld devices, customers could view their balances and transactions, transfer funds between accounts, and pay bills.

w-Technologies’ w-Bank Solution:

Part of w-Technologies suite of financial application products
Integrates with its other financial applications from w-Trade to w-Alert
End-user personalization: specific customer markets can be targeted
Based on a proprietary wireless application framework
