2000 - 44 (Dec. 2000) TECHNOLOGY SnapTrack GSM Test Group Complete Trials of Wireless Location Technology Analysts are forecasting that the wireless location services market could generate billions of dollars in revenue for wireless carriers within the next four years. Driving the technological development behind such a prediction is SnapTrack, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of QUALCOMM. The company has announced the successful completion of a series of independently audited tests of SnapTrack’s Wireless Assisted GPS™ system by Global System for Mobile telecommunications (GSM) industry players.
