BSQUARE Announce New Version of WinDK for Bluetooth and WinCE OS

In anticipation of widespread availability and adoption of Bluetooth-enabled products by the marketplace, within the next year, BSQUARE Corporation recently unveiled its new version of WinDK Extension for Bluetooth. The product will provide the tools and software for developers to make Bluetooth technology available to Microsoft Windows CE powered devices. BSQUARE will be licensing the new version in conjunction with Bluetooth Software Stack.*

WinDK Extension for Bluetooth for Windows CE:

Developers will be able to reduce the time for the development of Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Contains a set of driver development tools and Bluetooth software for creating high performance drivers and for seamlessly integrating any Bluetooth hardware or form factor with Windows CE.
Toolkit will contain a code generation wizard, header files, libraries, and samples.
The Wizard generated code will target Bluetooth hardware on the following:

PC Cards

USB

PCI

Generic Internal buses

A layered approach for handling other transports such as RS-232

The WinDK Extension for Bluetooth for Windows CE will be available in the first quarter of 2001.

* BSQUARE’s Bluetooth Software stack has received "qualification" from the Bluetooth Special Group, ensuring compatibility with worldwide Bluetooth technology standard as well as interoperability with other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
