BroadVision Brings E-Applications to the Wireless World

Realizing that it is not enough to simply push a Web application into a wireless device, BroadVision, Inc. has launched the BroadVision Mobile Solution that delivers personalized and localized information to mobile corporate stakeholders, from employees to customers to partners. BroadVision’s mobile solution will allow its customers to extend their Broadbeam B2B, B2C, and B2E applications to wireless devices.

The BroadVision Mobile Solution capitalizes on the unique benefits of mobility: the ability to deliver customers personalized and localized information.

User Personalization:

  • Matches users with relevant and compelling content
  • MyAlert.com, a mobile portal, enables users to create a personalized home page
  • BroadVision Analytics captures user behavior patterns in order to refine content delivery

Device and Location Customization:

  • Mobile Styling Server optimizes content for device’s form factor, bandwidth and capabilities.
  • Identifies the user’s location for the delivery of location-specific information, such as directions to businesses and services.

Built using advanced Internet standards including XML, XSL, Java, and JavaScript, the BroadVision Mobile Solution redefines the wireless Web experience, making relevant content and service available via a wide range of mobile devices, said the company.

Infrastructure:

  • On-to-One Publishing Center, an XML-based content management solution, to create, manage, and re-purpose content for Web and wireless sites.
  • Mobile Messaging Server to allow visitors to talk to customer service agents or sales representatives.
  • Security Server to ensure security access to Web content via a wireless device.
  • Open Standard Support for XML, XSL, WML, WAP, HTML, and SMS.
