With over £15-million ($22-million) in investment funds, U.K.-based Internet Incubator SA has added mBlox Limited, a London-based wireless infrastructure service provider targeting the entertainment, transport and messaging sectors, to its list of investment companies.

Internet Incubator SA, a subsidiary of Internet Incubator Plc, has acquired a 22.85 percent stake in mBlox for a total cash consideration of £1.1-million ($1.6-million) valuing mBlox at just under £5 million ($7.3-million). Besides funding, Internet Incubator will support mBlox in such areas as strategic business strategy, communications, direct marketing, and recruitment.

mBlox provides managed SMS service, along with interactive voice response, billing and payment services. The company primarily works with ASPs and systems integrators enabling them to deliver mobile services to any of the 400 operators across 161 countries.

Internet Incubator’s management team with relevant experience in all business aspects was attracted to mBlox for its combination of a proven management team and a reliable and scaleable software and delivery system.
