NEWS TECHNOLOGY Silicon Wave to Accelerate the Integration of Bluetooth Designer of RF communication system components Silicon Wave Inc. has announced the availability of its Bluetooth qualified Odyssey Baseband and Software as reusable IP via a newly established licensing program.The company says that by integrating the Bluetooth qualified RadioModem, the SiW1502, along with the reusable IP into their own silicon, customers can drive down the cost of Bluetooth to the industry target of $5. The Odyssey IP can be integrated into the leading processors including Arm, MIPs, and X86. "Our Odyssey IP products will help accelerate the integration of Bluetooth into a wide range of wireless devices, said Dave Lyon, CEO of Silicon Wave.
