NEWS PRODUCTS, SERVICES & APPLICATIONS MIST’s Wireless POS Terminals For Fast Food Chain MIST Inc., based in Nashua, N.H., announced that its wireless POS device, Freedom II Wireless POS terminal, has attracted the attention of fast food chain giant McDonald’s.The wireless manufacturer has commenced a major pilot project with McDonald’s Canada. MIST’s Freedom II terminals have been deployed in a southern Ontario McDonald’s restaurant. Customers can use the device either at the drive-through window or at the counter to quickly and conveniently pay for their meal. According to the manufacturer, MIST’s unit features an easy-to-use, intuitive display that guides consumers through the payment process as well as wireless communications for real-time transaction processing and authorization. "With MIST’s Wireless Freedom II, we can offer customers the fastest card payment system available to accept debit cards, all at an affordable cost," said Colin Glassford, of McDonald’s Corporation.
