Motorola Partners with AGENCY.COM to deliver M-Solution to Insurance
Professionals
Motorola has partnered with
AGENCY.COM, Ltd. of New York City to develop mobile solutions so that
insurance professionals will have access to database information via
Motorola’s next-generation of handsets. Regardless of where they are,
insurance professionals will have access to corporate networks, thus being
able to provide the most current information to their clients.
Motorola’s Java™ platform, Micro Edition (J2ME)™ technology-enabled
handsets will be on the market this month via iDEN network operators,
including Nextel Communications, Southern LINC and Pacific Wireless
Technologies in the U.S. and TELUS in Canada.
The delivery of mobile insurance applications via J2ME-enabled handsets
over iDEN networks’ ‘always on’ Internet access will provide insurance
professionals the efficiencies they demand, said Kevin Row, president of
AGENCY.COM.
Commenting on the next generation of wireless technology, Kevin Rowe,
AGENCY.Com’s president, said, AGENCY.COM believes that J2ME
technology-enabled wireless handsets and the iDEN network’s ‘always on’
Internet access will help set new benchmarks for enterprise markets, such as
the insurance industry, from a productivity standpoint.
