ALLTEL Delivers Motorola’s New Digital Wireless Phone

Motorola has said that it will provide rural telephone services company ALLTEL Corp. with its new CDMA-enabled phone, with voice recognition and dialing.

Besides sporting Motorola’s resigned user interface, the V. series™ 60c handset features an external display for caller-ID, time and date, SMS, and WAP 1.1 microbrowser

"The voice recognition and dialing features make calling someone easier then ever before. Customers also will find that Motorola’s V. series 60c is a simpler and much more powerful tool to access Unwired—ALLTEL’s wireless Internet service," said Philip Junker, executive vice president of marketing for ALLTEL.

ALLTEL of Little Rock, Arkansas, will be the first carrier to offer the CDMA phone which it plans to make available beginning in April in selected markets.
