BlueKite Software Enriches Wireless Surfing for PocketPC Users
‘Surf the Web Wireless’ the advertisement says, but who
are they kidding with painfully slow access speeds who has the time
to wait . . . and wait . . . and wait?
Mobile Web software provider BlueKite.com has released software
that promises PocketPC users wireless access speeds equivalent to
dial-up connections.
"Real mobile access has been tempered by painfully slow
wireless networks and very complex connection solutions," said
David Cox, president and CEO of BlueKite. "BlueKite has been
working diligently to make the wireless Web a reality for PocketPC
users."
The software is a set of network-independent caching and
compressing algorithms that reduces unnecessary data transmission
over wireless networks, enabling carriers, to deliver a rich,
familiar Web browsing experience to its subscribers, which they
could only experience on a desktop.
For business users the software, now in version 4.0, enables them
to wirelessly access the Internet, intranet, and Web-based
applications from Outlook e-mail to Sales Force Automation to CRM.
BlueKite’s version 4.0 will enable service providers to
accommodate more users over the same airwaves thus reducing
overhead, latency, and redundancy. This, of course, makes it
attractive to those operators who are seeking to increase their
revenues by offering value-added data services.
