Pencel Unveils Mobile Extended Database and App. Tool

Capitalizing on the potential growth of mobile workforce, estimated at 60 million in the U.S. alone, Pencel Corporation has launched a mobile extended database and application tool that will enable enterprises to customize business applications. Deployed on the Kinectivity platform, applications can be created without the requirement of specialized development resources. Providing an application designer with familiar components such as user interface, data validation, and data exchange connections, a mobile application can be developed in a matter of hours.

Designed with industries such as field service, field sales, healthcare, transportation and warehouse management in mind, the Kinectivity Studio promises mobile workers the following:

  • Shortened billing cycles
  • Improved data collection accuracy,
  • Access to up-to-the-minute corporate data
  • Ability to perform in-field tasks such as remote order entry and payment processing

The Kinectivity platform seamlessly integrates with a host of back-end database and applications software products. This database platform consists of software on the corporate server as well as on the mobile device. The server component connects to enterprise systems and manages data flow to and from mobile devices via wired and wireless connections.

The Kinectivity Studio Features

  • Provides a single visual environment in Windows 9x/NT/2000
  • Offers a drag-and-drop editing system, for data schemas, application logic and data flow
  • Provides access to RoverScript, a JavaScript-based scripting language
