Ecutel Inc., a leading developer of advanced mobile networking software and services, today announced the launch of its flagship software product Viatores 3.0 Mobile Virtual Private Network (VPN). It gives mobile professionals the freedom to roam the world with full access to corporate computing resources, while communicating securely anytime, anywhere and over any network in real time.

Viatores is the world's only mobile VPN that allows people to roam between private networks, public networks and private visiting networks seamlessly with support for LANs, wireless LANs, cellular networks and other communication networks. Version 3.0 is the first general availability release. Prior versions were released to a limited number of Ecutel's partners, resellers and consulting clients.

"In today's corporate world people are on the move. They may work from the car, from the airport lounge, from a hotel, and even at a client's office," explained Ecutel President and CEO John Harrison. "With Viatores, mobile professionals can for the first time move effortlessly between these locations while staying connected securely."

Viatores Mobile VPN is the only software product to incorporate standards-based mobile Internet communications and security for intelligent roaming and remote information access and exchange in real time.

Ecutel refined its technology as consultants to the world's toughest customer -- the Department of Defense. The DoD needed to solve the problem of how to electronically exchange sensitive, mission-critical information between soldiers in the field.

"What sets Viatores apart is its architecture," said Harrison. "It was crafted to cope with today's challenges of utilizing mobile devices in a diverse and growing communications infrastructure. And it's entirely scalable to cope with tomorrow's challenges too."
