Operators Overestimate Mobile Banking Uptake
Mobile operators' enthusiasm for virtual banking may be seriously
misplaced, says Forrester research. The report "Mobile
Payment's Slow Start" says major barriers to financial
transactions via mobile devices will limit its take-off for at least
a decade. Consumers won't change their payment behavior, providers
will resist collaborating on fully featured services, and
easy-to-use, cheap, secure and standardized technology will take
years to roll out, Forrester says.
