PenRight are now providing developers an application development
tool for rapid cross-platform development — MobileBuilder 2.0 —
that promises to reduce time to market and save costs.
From a single application design, developers can quickly and
easily develop database applications for Palm, Windows CE, and other
handheld platforms. To provide data management and enterprise
synchronization, SQL
Anywhere® Studio along with MobileBuilder 2.0 will enable
applications to be built that can synchronize data from a handheld
device directly to Sybase, Oracle, or Microsoft enterprise
databases.
According to the companies, this integrated solution has been
made seamless through a custom global component, which integrates a
complete SQL relation database engine into any Palm OS, Windows CE,
Windows 32/16, or MS-DOS base MobileBuilder application design.
