Alatto Launches Multimedia
Greeting Cards for Mobile Phones
Alatto Technologies Ltd. has
launched ZipCards, which the company describes as a library of
greeting cards which takes advantage of MMS standards.
Using any MMS-enabled mobile phone, users will be able to send
and receive rich multimedia greeting cards composed of animated
color images and audio clips. ZipCards can be sent from handset to
handset, from Internet sites to handsets or as e-mails between
users.
Building on the mass popularity of SMS, MMS, with its richer user
experience, will obviously allow operators to significantly broaden
their service package to include offerings such as ZipCards, said
Neil Flanagan, head of product development at Alatto. "ZipCards
will help mobile operators to generate new revenue streams from
existing customer bases in addition to attracting new
customers," he added.
Features of ZipCards
- Based on Alatto’s proprietary C-Spark software
- Available in over 200 different designs
- Typical file size — 10 KB
- Ideal for GSM, GPRS and UMTS networks
