ViewSonic Launches Wireless
Monitor Device for Business
ViewSonic of Walnut,
California, has launched its wireless ten-inch touch screen monitor,
airpanel 100, which was inspired by the Microsoft Mira wireless
monitor concept. With built-in 802.11b connectivity, the airpanel
100 provides the business user with access to information that
resides on their PC, corporate servers or the Web.
The airpanel 100 offers the mobile professional the latest in
wireless computing, e-mail, Web access and service based enterprise
applications over a WLAN or WAN connection.
Features of the airpanel 100
- Microsoft Windows CE.NET operating system
- 206 MHz Intel SA-1110 CPU
- 32 MB of Intel StrataFlash and 128 MB of memory
- SVGA TFT 10-inch touch screen and 800 x 600 resolution
- Supports multimedia capabilities, including Microsoft Internet
Explorer 5.5, Windows Media Player, and JAVA Virtual Machine
- Weighs 2.5 pounds
The airpanel 100 will be available in the U.S. beginning May
2002.
