Softwired and Metrowerks Help
Wireless Developers Create Enterprise Apps
Softwired AG, a provider of
mobile telecommunications infrastructure software, has partnered
with Metrowerks, a specialist in wireless development tools and
services, to provide advanced development tools for wireless Java
technology for the development of enterprise applications.
Metrowerks’ newly released CodeWarrior Wireless Studio,
Professional Edition, Version 7.0, supports the Java Message Service
(JMS) standard and uses Softwired’s iBus//Mobile message-based
middleware technology, making it attractive for the development of
wireless enterprise applications.
iBus//Mobile guarantees the delivery of JMS messages between
applications despite sporadic network disconnects or periods of
off-line service usage, Softwired said.
"By making JMS technology readily available, we are able to
help wireless developers solve the problems they face producing
secure, fast, guaranteed communication and synchronization between
wireless devices and enterprise applications," said John
Smolucha, vice president of marketing at Metrowerks.
"Our relationship with Softwired is a key element in making
CodeWarrior Wireless Studio the tool of choice for enterprise
application developers," he added.
