AvantGo Mobile Inspection to
Eliminate Paper-based Tracking
Recognizing the business
inefficiencies inherent in manual, paper-based processes, including
inspections, asset tracking and safety audits, AvantGo has launched
the AvantGo Mobile Inspection.

replacing paper and pencil-based business processes with AvantGo
Mobile Inspection" will a have "low-cost way to yield
substantial cost reductions, productivity increases and customer
services improvements."

MobileInfo.Com’s Comments & Advisory: AvantGo’s Mobile
Inspection application is not new and there are a number of
application development companies who have written custom applications
for different industries. However, AvantGo’s use of its Mobile
business server as a generic software box to house business logic for
these type of horizontal applications is unique. What you need is a
user interface (forms), definition of data capture fields, business logic behind those
fields and ability to send this information to a database.
