Independent Wireless Lab Now Open

Two consulting firms, The Management Network Group, Inc., and inCode Telecom Group, Inc., have announced the opening of what they claim is the first independent next-generation wireless development and testing laboratory.

Since its inception last fall, the lab has been beta testing a number of mission critical interoperability solutions in an open-architecture environment.

The facility will provide a real-world testing ground for wireless carriers and network technology providers to solve complex network integration, support and interoperability issues before committing substantial capital to new ventures.

The lab will provide "a vendor- and technology-neutral environment" to test and evaluate network element integration, new services and applications such as SMS, MMS, 3G/IP-based services, E911, location-based services, telematics, 802.11 wireless LAN, prepaid solutions and BSS/OSS applications.
