Tahoe and Kabira to Enable Next Generation Operators to Rapidly Add New Services

Tahoe Networks, Inc., a specialist in network infrastructure solutions for Mobile Internet Edge (MIE), and Kabira Technologies, Inc., a provider of software solutions for convergent network services, have formed a partnership to enable GPRS, CDMA, and 3G operators to rapidly integrate new mobile data services into their existing operations.

According to Grover Righter, vice president of technical strategy at Kabira, wireless operators can be successful in wireless data if they take advantage of their existing IP networks.

"One of the biggest challenges facing wireless operators will be to integrate their existing wireless network and enterprise systems to introduce Internet data services within their current networks," Righter said. "Wireless operators need a solution to integrate separate physical subscriber, services, networks and business systems for voice and data services."

Tahoe Networks will integrate their interfaces and processes into Kabira’s Infrastructure Server thus enabling mobile operators, systems integrators, and application developers to rapidly deploy IP services offering new 3G wireless solutions.

"The solution reduces development and deployment times and cost, creating sustainable competitive advantage," said Alan Cohen, vice president of marketing, Tahoe Networks.
