TECHNOLOGY
Hutchison 3G to Offer ‘True Personalization of Content’
British NCorp, a developer
of intelligent search and personalization software, said Hutchison
3G has selected its ljen technology for the development of 3G
services in Europe and Asia.
NCorp’s ljen technology will allow Hutchison to offer
subscribers ‘true personalization’ of content and services by
building dynamic profiles to reflect their own needs and
preferences. Subscribers will choose from a wide selection of
location-specific content from entertainment and travel to shopping
and betting.
ljean technology, the U.K. company says, addresses one of the key
challenges confronting 3G operators — how to provide their
subscribers with the tools necessary to retrieve relevant content
when and where they need it.
Instead of strolling through pages of irrelevant content,
Hutchison’s customers will be able to "receive the right
information the first time, every time and with the minimum of
effort," said Nick Bidmead, CEO of NCorp.
