Schwab Wireless Users Gain Access to Enhanced Features

Stockpoint, a ScreamingMedia company and a provider of market data and financial analysis tools, has announced that financial services firm Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. has selected its wireless technology to provide market data and analysis tools to Schwab Wireless users on a wide range of devices.

Stockpoint’s Market Data Engine will ensure Schwab Wireless users have easy access to relevant market information such as quotes, news, watch lists, charts and market briefs.

Now Schwab Wireless services will be supported on a range of wireless handhelds and integrated devices that run on the Palm OS, including Palm VII/VIIx and i705 PDAs and the Samsung I300 and Kyocera QCP6035 smartphones available through Sprint PCS and Verizon Wireless.

"Our agreement with Stockpoint," said Robert Sofman, senior vice president of Global Wireless Solutions Group at Charles Schwab, "is an important driver in meeting the evolving needs of a wide range of investors, by providing actionable information and personalized tools through an expanding choice of devices."
