Wireless Knowledge Unveils
Workstyle Desktop
Wireless Knowledge, a
Qualcomm company and provider of mobile information management
tools, has announced the release of its Workstyle Desktop Edition.
Previous versions of Workstyle have been designed to meet the
needs of carriers and large corporations seeking to deploy e-mail,
contact and calendar services to mobile users.
The latest member of the Workstyle family now allows individual
business professionals to download and install Workstyle on their
desktop PC to access data stored in Microsoft Outlook from a
wireless device.
As more business professionals rely on e-mail and calendar
information to manage their daily lives, mobile solutions like
Workstyle Desktop Edition will provide them will the tools to
wirelessly connect to the corporate data they require, when and
where they need, said Eric Schultz, chairman and CEO, Wireless
Knowledge.
The solution allows users to wirelessly synchronize information
between their mobile device and their desktop PC. By following a
simple set of rules, users can control the synch process and store
data locally on a Pocket PC, such as Compaq iPAQ 3700 or HP Jornada
560, or a Palm OS device, like the Kycoera QCP 6035 or Samsung I300.
Workstyle Desktop Edition has a browser option that allows users
equipped with a PC running Internet Explorer or a Web-enabled mobile
phone running Verizon Mobile Web, Sprint PCS Wireless Web, or Nextel
Wireless Web to access information.
The current version of Workstyle Desktop Edition offers support
for desktop systems running Microsoft Outlook, and future versions
will offer full support for Lotus notes.
