Comverse Unveils MMS Developer
Suite
Comverse, a unit of Comverse
Technology, Inc., has announced that its Comverse Developer Zone now
includes its MMS Developer Suite.
With the MMS Developer Suite, developers have the necessary
development tools to build and test MMS applications without prior
knowledge of MMS protocols and technologies.
The suite includes the Comverse MMS Software Development Kit
(SDK) that facilities the creation of MMS applications, enabling
developers to bring innovative applications to market quickly,
thereby reducing costs and development efforts.
Christian Lutz, CEO of UCP, a MMS application developer, is
confident that Comverse’s MMS SDK will be a great asset to
developers and users alike.
"We are looking forward to optimizing our MMS solutions with
Comverse’s SDK," Lutz said. "The MMS Software
Development Kits will allow us to enhance functionalities
easily." Developers will benefit from quick time-to-market and
end users will enjoy a richer multimedia experience.
The New York-based Comverse is already working with content
providers and developers, including Bug-Life, Corbis, M-web, m-Wise,
UCP, Voxline, and 3DME, to deliver MMS-based services, applications
and content.
Comverse MMS Developers Suite
- Supports the most common MMS interface, SMTP-based MM7, which is
incorporated into the MMS SDK, to ensure interoperability with
many operators.
- Supports standards compliant Simple Object Access Protocol-based
MM7 interface, which offers greater functionality and enables MMS
applications to be fully interoperable with all MMSCs adhering to
the MM7 standard interface.
- Enables developers to optimize content for a variety of MMS
terminals and to test their applications and content on different
terminal displays.
