Aligo Makes Mobile Access to
Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino Easy
Aligo Inc., a provider of enterprise
wireless solutions, has introduced two new Aligo M-1 Mobile Access
applications, one version for Microsoft Exchange and another for
Lotus Domino.
Built on the Aligo M-1 Mobile Application Server, the new
applications offer mobile workers such as salespeople, service
technicians, and others instant wireless access to their e-mail,
contact database, calendar, and task-list.
M-1 Mobile Access integrates easily and seamlessly with an
enterprise’s existing infrastructure. Whether an organization is
using the Lotus Domino Server or the Microsoft Exchange Server, it
can plug in the M-1 Mobile Access for immediate wireless access.
Users can access every component of their groupware server using
any type and make of mobile device, from a RIM BlackBerry handheld
to a Toshiba laptop to a Nokia Web-ready handset.
Aligo says M-1 Mobile Access meets the highest security standards
to ensure sensitive corporate data is protected from unauthorized
users.
M-1 Mobile Access offers enterprises a low-cost, stand-alone
wireless e-mail package, providing "them with a taste of the
benefits of Aligo’s complete mobile solution," commented
Robert Smith, CEO of Aligo.

MobileInfo.com’s Comments & Advisory:
Aligo's M-1 server will have to compete with similar solutions from
vendors such as Wireless Knowledge and Infowave. It appears that Aligo
offers a more affordable and secure solution for small and medium size
businesses. These customers should evaluate Aligo's solution in their
own environment and see if it meets their requirements.
