mFormation Introduces New Wireless
Management Software
Start-up company mFormation
Technologies Inc. has released its latest version of its wireless
infrastructure management software — mFormation Enterprise Manager
Version 1.4.
This latest version extends wireless management capabilities to
wireless devices running on GSM/GPRS networks.
Besides supporting the latest GSM/GPRS devices, mFormation
Enterprise Manager includes usability improvements and additional
diagnostics. It also has the capacity to integrate with a wider
range of external management environments.
Enhanced Features
- Full Support for wireless devices such as the BlackBerry 5810
and 5820, and Palm OS- and Microsoft PocketPC-enabled devices.
- Redesigned user interface and other usability improvements
enable IT professionals to track devices as they go in and out
of coverage and to monitor devices as they roam across networks.
- Information on performance of individual components is
provided, together with topology mapping of network components
across multiple sites, making it possible to pinpoint
performance bottlenecks and remotely control devices across
networks and national boundaries.
- Wireless network event and alarm information is automatically
provided in a variety of formats to external management systems.
