MARKET OUTLOOK & TRENDS

Dell Expected to Get into PDA market

A new report from market researcher ARS speculates that the PC giant is getting ready to place an order with a contract manufacturer in Taiwan. The report says Dell's systems will likely be based on Microsoft's Pocket PC software.

MobileInfo Opinion and Advisory: It is but natural to expect that Dell will get into the PDA market. The reason that it has taken this long is because the enterprise PDA market had not matured to the extent that Dell could start picking up large corporate orders through its online web system. Dell's entry will help the enterprise mobile market.
