MDSI Will Provide Field Service Solution MDSI Ideligo to Key Energy Sources of Midland, Texas

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc. , a provider of mobile workforce management solutions, will supply Key Energy Services Inc. of Midland Texas with its MDSI ideligo(TM) wireless enablement solution. MDSI ideligo will wirelessly extend Siebel eOil and Gas 7 to the field to help 1500 of Key Energy Services' field service workers meet the company's exacting customer service requirements. Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL) is the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. Key Energy Services is the first customer to take advantage of the certified integration between Siebel Field Service 7, a core component of the Siebel eOil and Gas suite, and MDSI ideligo.

Key Energy Services, the world's largest on-shore, rig-based well servicing company, relies on its field service organization to deliver customer service that must meet exacting standards. "The joint MDSI(R) and Siebel solution lets us maximize field productivity through better use of our resources and provides better information for decision-making and for our customers. With it, we can eliminate paper, exchange critical customer and work order information with the field in real-time, and ensure all aspects of a job are completed and recorded properly the first time. The solution is highly scalable, combines software that is field-proven, and works with the full variety of wireless networks in our service areas," stated Key Energy Services' CIO John Hood.

At Key Energy Services, MDSI ideligo will ensure that field service workers stay in the loop through a real-time wireless connection to Siebel eOil and Gas 7. Workers will have access to all the most current data on customers, including their contracts, billing and credit information. MDSI ideligo will also automate field service workflow, let workers record all results of their work and give them the tools they need to manage their jobs throughout the day. By extending Siebel eOil and Gas 7 to the field, MDSI ideligo is able to provide Key Energy with enhanced value from its investment in Siebel Systems' solution.

According to Jim McCray, Siebel Systems' General Manager, Siebel Energy, "To get the most out of Siebel Systems' solutions, companies must share the data with every point of customer contact, including field service crews. In cases like Key Energy Services, where the field workforce plays such a vital role in customer service, it is particularly important that the data is shared instantaneously. The integration between Siebel eOil and Gas 7 and MDSI ideligo make sure that happens."

Key Energy Services will be implementing a blend of Siebel eOil and Gas 7 modules to enable the company to develop a single, unified view of its customers across multiple channels, including the Internet, face-to-face contact, the telephone, and its network of service delivery partners. With Siebel eOil and Gas 7, energy service companies can develop a complete 360-degree understanding of their customers to improve quality of customer care, increase customer loyalty, maximize sales effectiveness, and streamline partner management.

MDSI ideligo is built on components of MDSI's market-leading Advantex(R) mobile workforce management solution, and as such has been proven by over 100 of the world's most demanding field service organizations. MDSI ideligo isolates Advantex's proven wireless and mobile application capabilities and offers them as a configurable product. Like Advantex, MDSI ideligo is scalable to organizations with tens of thousands of mobile workers, is available for notebooks, CE devices and many handheld device alternatives, and can operate over virtually any public wireless network, as well as with many private networks.

MDSI ideligo(TM), a new wireless enablement application for companies with field service organizations that must meet exacting standards of customer service. Leveraging the wireless and mobile application capabilities of MDSI's market-leading Advantex(R) mobile workforce management solution, MDSI ideligo wirelessly communicates data in real-time between the field and enterprise applications, automates workflow, and lets field workers be more efficient and productive.

MDSI(R) offers MDSI ideligo as a mobile extension of selected enterprise application vendors' solutions. The product offers companies outside of MDSI's core telecommunications, utility, and broadband markets the opportunity to take advantage of MDSI's unmatched experience in wireless communications for the field service business.

In field service, situations change constantly. An emergency may occur that demands immediate attention or a service technician may get held up in a traffic jam. If such information gets stuck in an enterprise system or in the field, even temporarily, a company may not be able to live up to its service commitments. With MDSI ideligo, the field force is never out of the loop. The solution provides instantaneous data communication between field service workers and customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), billing, and other enterprise systems. MDSI ideligo automates field service workflow to ensure that workers complete all aspects of a job in the most appropriate order and record all data accurately, so that costly repeat customer visits can be avoided and data integrity is preserved. When workers go out of wireless coverage, MDSI ideligo can store all relevant data and forward it the instant that coverage resumes.

According to Simon Backer, MDSI's Senior Vice President, Wireless Services, "Current WAP-based solutions lack a true real-time 'push' capability, and typically they can only be used with mobile devices that have small screens and limited memory. Other so-called mobile solutions typically require field workers to periodically synchronize all their local data with enterprise servers. This results in lengthy wireless communication that is prohibitively expensive. These are serious limitations in a mission-critical field service environment. By overcoming these limitations and others, MDSI ideligo provides the missing real-time link to the enterprise that field service organizations have been searching for."

MDSI ideligo is built on components of MDSI's Advantex(R) mobile workforce management solution for telecommunications, utility (electric, gas and water), and broadband markets. As such, it has been proven by over 100 of the world's most demanding field service organizations. MDSI ideligo isolates Advantex's proven wireless and mobile application capabilities and offers them as a configurable product. Like Advantex, MDSI ideligo is scalable to organizations with tens of thousands of mobile workers, is available for notebooks, CE devices and many handheld devices, and can operate over virtually any public wireless network, as well as with many private networks.
