1. Intel, iPass partner to offer Wi-Fi enterprise data
Intel and iPass today said they have formed a multi-year agreement to offer mobile data services to business customers of both companies. The two companies plan to test an upcoming version of iPass' Connect network/Internet access application with Intel's forthcoming Banias processor and wireless networking cards. iPass' new networking application is designed to let businesses manage all their employees' network connections across wired and wireless access points. Intel is also said to be testing ways to build Wi-Fi access directly into its future processors. No word yet on when this new service will debut.
